Recipe Tag

My friend Leslie tagged me! So how the tag works is that you blog your usual dinner meals for a week and if someone sees something yummy they want to try, they can just post a comment asking for the recipe.

I think I'll post dinners from last Thursday to tomorrow (partly because my Mother-in-Law did a lot of the cooking and she's a master in the kitchen!)

Thursday:
Pulu Masima, taro. A mother-in-law dish.

Friday:
Potluck. I made a chicken dish that is gross but that every picky kid on the planet LOVES (and you can sneak veggies in there too!).

Saturday:
Leftovers from Friday night's potluck. Other people's food, of course. My dish came back clean!

Sunday:
We went to the Wesley's home for dinner so no cooking but I did bake homemade rolls to bring with a stick of butter. Simple roll recipe here.

Monday:
Mahi Mahi dipped in a thin coat of egg, a tiny bit of flour, and green onion. Then fried. Crazy yummy. Also, a mother-in-law dish.

Carrot, raisin, pineapple salad. Ok, I can't stand eating carrots but this is the exception of all exceptions. I was just introduced to this salad and while it doesn't sound mouthwatering, wait 'til you try it. Crazy[er] yummy. Another mother-in-law dish.

Tuesday:
Hamburger stir-fry. My super inventive dish. Fry discounted frozen hamburger, add frost bitten Costco stir-fry veggies. Cook rice. Place above stir-fry over rice and season with Aloha soyu to taste. There's a TON of leftovers if anyone's hungry.

Ok, just joking about the discounted hamburger and frost bitten veggies. Only making sure you're paying attention and trying to add some flava to the most boring meal of the century.

Wednesday(tonight):
I'm thinking this: Chicken broccoli curry casserole. Had it at the Toluta'us and loved it. Plus, it looked  easy.  Gonna call and get the recipe.

So there it is and I tag:

Patria (remember the pesto stuff I devoured?)
Anna (don't forget to put the turkey, bowtie pasta, herb and garlicy goodness from the potluck on your new website)
Audrey (the recipe for those awesome cinnamon rolls at the shower will suffice for your tag)
Megan (I have no idea if you've visited this blog in the last little while but fun to find out what you and the new spouse are dining on in dc)

Dine on!

ok, it's not lavender anymore and i can't remember how to get it back!! total experimentation b/c i'm bored with the other designs.

carrot salad:
about 3 cups shredded carrots
a box of normal size box of raisins
a normal size can of pinapple chuncks (or i bet fresh pineapple would be yum)

blend all ingredients and add pineapple juice from the can to taste. so surprisingly yum.

mahi mahi:
i have no idea. i think mix egg, a little flour, and some green onions. then fry. tastes especially good with the carrot salad on the side but i bet would taste so yum with honeydoo (wait, how do i spell that???) melon
