Ian Lind is a retired investigative reporter for the Honolulu Star-Bulletin, a Veteran, a political blogger, and "online daily from Ka'a'awa, HI." I go to his blog everyday and not once have I mentioned it here! He was invited to the Democratic National Convention, has been featured in The New York Times, and is just an excellent person with a most brilliant mind. For local Hawaii and National politics, give it a go.
