While You Were Home Watching The Office . . .

I was watching these cute keiki.

This truly is one of those videos you can only appreciate if you know any of the kids.

Two of them are my cute little nieces. So if you don't care about their little children's choir, in their little town, with their little mandatory "two french braids or die" policy, please pretend you do. Cuz they're cute, they can sing, and they're mine!

San Diego

The primary purpose of this blog was and still is to document our lives. . . I'm a lazy journal keeper.

So I get a little neurotic sometimes wanting to make sure Tevita takes a lot of photos on his romps all over the world.

This trip he went to San Diego.

Going to Southern CA would have anyone scratching their heads in wonderment. What in the world is bloggable about San Diego? And how can there be a post half as interesting as the romp to Australia?

Being raised in Las Vegas, I've been to So Ca a thousand times and can attest to the fact that the most appealing part of that area is the train shaped fast food joint in Barstow.

Anyhow, Tevita did his best to find some semblance of originality in that town and did come home with some photos. But of all the shots I went through, this one reflected what was clearly the best thing going for San Diego:


Missed you while you were gone Ti, glad you got home safe, and please never leave my sight again. Mwahh!!

Earth Day 2008

. . . as opposed to Green Day

which is what I absent-mindedly googled when I was looking for material to post about today.

I also saw them in 1996 at some army base in Pearl City . . . I thought they were sooooo cool back then.

Now I just see three wanna-be pukana dudes in pinstripes.

But when I did google Earth Day, I came across these lovelies:

Ok, I have no earthly idea what those three phallic (am I allowed to use that word here?) shaped things are.

But the cards and wrapping paper are not only biodegradable, they have seeds embedded in them so you can plant and expect perennials after you party! Items I think would appeal to all ages. Where was my flower paper when I was a child? I wonder why folks didn't think of it sooner.

Strangely, no one knew or rather cared about environmental impact in those days. So it's no wonder that all I do these days is oooh and aaaaah about the creative ways folks are living to be a part of saving our beloved planet. My heart is getting bigger and bigger and bigger just thinking about it!
